"Angel....I Adore You", Acrylic and Acrylic Medium on canvas, 18x36, by Natalie Hirshman. Copyright 2007.
On to my muse, the irreverant Angelina, aka. Princess, Mamalina, Pincy. She knew before I of her God-given talent when one evening, I found her patiently perched on a chair in front of the easel, waiting for me to begin my work. She waits there every night after supper, ensuring that every paintstroke is properly executed and all ideas are approved by her, in advance.
Princess can even make a paper bag appear beautiful. You're welcome, Trader Joes.
Princess is blessing us with beauty, high above on her perch. Even the foster dogs.
Princess introducing herself to foster Mamie, while Mamie silently wishes to pee her blanket out of terror. Avoid direct eye contact, avoid direct eye contact....
Obviously bestowed with an angelic and maternal instinct, Princess looks over the entire family, even the foster dogs, whom she especially loves to taunt. She's especially drawn to her daddy, known to purr only for him (although I have been blessed from time to time with her melodic hum). My intent was to exemplify her spiritual, ethereal side, as well as to show how much we exalt this magnificent little lady.

Her canvas magically transformed itself into a parchment-like, aged piece, with notes of an asian-inspired scroll. To finish it off, I had her daddy pick his favorite characters to honor his favorite little lady. Thus, Angel....I Adore You was finally complete and born to the world. Princess gave her seal of approval by giving her daddy a big kiss. That's right, she gave her DADDY a big kiss. Sigh.
No time to waste, Princess waited patiently the next day at an empty easel. She already had many thoughts on the next project, inspiring a masterpiece of her favorite pup, Hansel.
